Who We Are

HUNT4SOCCER is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that provides at risk children soccer balls through partnerships with after school programs on a nationwide basis. 100% of all donations are used to purchase new soccer balls.

Hunt4Soccer was founded in January of 2004 in memory of Hunt Silcock who passed away from a sudden illness at the age of thirteen in December of 2002. Hunt4Soccer is dedicated to providing at risk children the opportunity to not only learn, play and enjoy the game of soccer, but to teach the importance of team effort, fair competition and good sportsmanship. The program works with after school programs and each of these programs' participants receives a soccer ball to keep upon completion of the program's curriculum.

To date, Hunt4Soccer has provided 174,700 soccer balls to at risk children through its affiliated programs. Hundreds of thousands of children have played with Hunt4Soccer soccer balls. During the 2021-2022 school year, Hunt4Soccer provided 16,050 Hunt4Soccer soccer balls to program participants.

Hunt4Soccer began by offering free clinics to local Dallas area school systems. Subsequently, Hunt4Soccer transitioned from offering clinics directly to partnering with after school programs in the Dallas area including the Dallas affiliate of America Scores. Hunt4Soccer has since expanded its relationship with America Scores, and is now in eleven affiliated cities throughout North America. America Scores is our largest partner serving over 10,000 children annually.

In 2013, Hunt4Soccer partnered with The Sanneh Foundation based in Minneapolis and St. Paul Minnesota. The Foundation, a youth development organization, provides life skills programs for at-risk children using soccer as the catalyst to empower kids, improve lives and unite communities.
In 2018, Hunt4Soccer partnered with Passback an outreach program of the Unied States Soccer Foundation. Passback collects and resdistributes soccer equipment to children in underserved communities where children love the sport but do not have the resources to play.
